Accessibility Statement

Reassurance AI is built for people looking for mental health support, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, magnification, or reduced-motion settings. Accessibility is not an add-on for us: someone reaching this site in distress should never have the site itself be one more barrier.

This statement covers our pre-launch website: specifically, the pages you can visit today, including our resource library, grounding exercises, blog, and waiting list. When the full service launches, we will review and update this statement before launch.

Conformance Status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.

Based on our own review, we are not currently aware of any part of this website that falls short of WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This is a self-assessment rather than an external audit, so if you find something that does not work for you, we want to hear about it: email [email protected] and we will work on resolving any accessibility issues.

What We Have Done

  • Keyboard access. Every interactive element on the site can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone. A "Skip to main content" link is the first thing keyboard focus lands on, on every page, and the focus indicator is designed to stay visible on every background it can land on, including inside our full-screen grounding exercises, which trap focus properly while open and return you to where you were when you leave.
  • Screen reader support. Pages use proper landmarks, heading structure, and labels. Decorative icons are hidden from assistive technology; form errors are announced and tied to the field they belong to.
  • Color and contrast. Text and interface colors meet WCAG 2.2 AA contrast ratios in both light and dark mode, and color is never the only way information is conveyed. Charts pair color with text labels and distinct line patterns.
  • Motion. Every animation on the site respects your system's reduced-motion setting. Ambient animations also have visible pause controls, so you can stop them regardless of settings.
  • Guarding against regressions. Accessibility checks run automatically on every code change. A build fails if a new page breaks these rules.

Known Limitations

We are not currently aware of any WCAG 2.2 Level AA barriers on this site. If you run into one, please tell us using the contact details below and we will get you the content another way.

How This Statement Was Prepared

This statement was prepared on August 10th, 2026, based on a self-evaluation: a code-level audit of every publicly reachable page against WCAG 2.2 Level AA, and automated accessibility and keyboard-interaction testing (including axe-core) integrated into our build, covering both light and dark mode. It has not been audited by an external party, and we do not claim it has.

We review this statement whenever the site's accessibility materially changes, and at least annually.
